The saxon 6-element Extra-Low Dispersion (ED) Eyepieces are fully multi-coated for maximum image brightness, with blackened lens edges for improved contrast across their 60 degree field of view.
These 9mm ED eyepieces ensures high resolution and excellent sharpness and minimises chromatic aberration.
The eyepiece is finished in high-gloss anodised aluminium with knurled rubber grips, with twist-up rubber eyecups to provide long eye-relief.
What are ED eyepieces and how are they different?
ED eyepieces use two separate ED glass elements that provides superior refractive properties compared to standard optical glass. This results in better colour correction, with truer colour differences visible between stars and planetary surface details.
ED glass is often used in high-end camera lenses and refractor telescopes.
