Invented by Georg Simon Plossl (1794-1868), this orthoscopic eyepiece consists of four elements, in the form of two achromatic, doublet lenses. The two doublets are disposed with their most-curved surfaces almost touching. It is characterised by a long eye-relief and a wide, distortion-free field of view.
SAXON plossl eyepieces are fully multi coated and are a great all-round eyepiece for lunar, planetary and deep sky viewing.
