Maksutov-Cassegrain
A Maksutov Cassegrain telescope is a catadioptric telescope, using both lenses and mirrors effectively squeezing an optically long telescope into a short tube. A Maksutov Cassegrain is capable of superb image quality and is a good choice as an all-purpose telescope for an astronomer who will be mixing visual observing with photography. It is a great design for smaller telescopes and is a very popular type of spotting scope.
